DETERMINING THE PERSON-ORGANIZATION'S FIT IN A CREATIVE JOB: MODERATING ROLE OF EMPLOYEE NARCISSISM AND COGNITIVELY DIVERSIFIED TEAM

Abstract:
This study examined the effect of person-organization fit (P-O fit) on employee creativity, with a moderating role of narcissism and cognitively diversified teams. The person-organization fit theory is being used to create a conceptual model. An empirical and quantitative methodology was adopted, and the proposed hypotheses were tested using a sample of 354 employees from the Indian e-commerce industry. The findings revealed that utilization of specific skills, job crafting, and organizational support P-O fit. Consequently, P-O fit influences employee creativity. In addition, employee narcissism and cognitively diversified team are essential to achieve employee creativity. The study provides empirical evidence on the influence of P-O fit on the creativity of e-commerce employees.
